DESCRIPTION:The Kruger Brothers\nSept. 26 at 7 p.m. at The Historic Danville Community Market Building\nThe award-winning bluegrass and Americana group was started by Swiss-born musicians Jens Kruger on banjo\, Uwe Kruger on guitar\, and bassist Joel Landsberg. They were later joined by mandolinist Jonah Horton. The group\, inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame has spent three decades touring internationally. DESCRIPTION:Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at George Washington High School \nAiley II\, the second company of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater\, was founded in 1974. The touring ensemble showcases early-career dancers alongside works from emerging and established choreographers\, carrying forward Alvin Ailey’s celebrated mission advancing American dance. Having performed at celebrity weddings—including that of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani—as well as for U.S. presidents and at White House events\, the Dallas String Quartet brings an extraordinary level of artistry to the Danville stage.
